Toll Middle School is excited to be part of the Verizon Innovative Learning Program for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 school years! 

Program Overview                        

Verizon, through its Verizon Innovative Learning initiative, brings free technology, free access, and immersive hands-on learning opportunities to kids in under-resourced schools and communities, inspiring tomorrow’s creators to use technology to build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and the world. 

That’s why Verizon, through its partnership with Digital Promise, equips every child and teacher at Toll with a CHROMEBOOK and a TWO-YEAR DATA PLAN.                        

In addition to free technology and access, Verizon Innovative Learning schools (VILs) also receive extensive teacher training and support to leverage technology in their classrooms. Through Verizon Innovative Learning, students and teachers are taught to use powerful tools innovatively, and teachers receive comprehensive, ongoing professional development on how to effectively leverage mobile technology to improve learning.   

How do students benefit?

Equipping middle school students at Toll with always-available access to technology, STEM learning opportunities, and leadership skills empowers them to explore all the possibilities for building bright futures for themselves, their families and the world.   Each students Verizon CHROMEBOOK comes with a FREE TWO-YEAR data plan that will give you free WiFi.   During school, these chromebooks will be used in class daily. This platform will be how teachers show you how to use specific programs that will be modeled using this version of the chromebook.
